UNDERSTANDING SENTENCES PATTERN

A.      Identifying  Key Ideas

      Is the basic message.

The K ey Idea made up by two parties:

©       Subject : Identifies person/object the sentence is about.

©       Verb: Identifies what person or object is doing or has done.

“THE GOVERNMENT HAVE  PLANNED  TO BUILD RAMAYANA IN MALUKU”.

(SUBJECT,VERB 1,VERB 2,DETAIL INFORMATON,COMPLIMENT)

SUBJECT +VERB 1+ VERB 2=”THE KEY IDEA”.

DETAIL INFORMATION + COMPLIMENT=”ADDITONAL INFORMATION”.

ü  Sentence That Combines Ideas.

The characteristic:

       The sentence use semicolon

       Use conjungtion word; but , so , or , and.

E.G: I read all the chapters that were assigned, and I wrote an outline for each.

ü  Sentence  That Relates Idea.

Ideas:

       Most important = Independent clauses

       Less important  = Dependent clauses.

E.G: I was very angry because of her statement.
